Georgia Military Veterans' Hall of Fame is Seeking Nominations for the 2014 Class
The Georgia Military Veterans' Hall of Fame (GMVHOF) is beginning its second year of service to the Veterans of Georgia. Nominations are being accepted from now until Friday, 29 August 2014 for this year’s class. There are three categories of nominations: VALOR, ACHIEVEMENT, and SERVICE. This year’s GMVHOF Induction Ceremony and Banquet will be held in Columbus, Georgia on Saturday, 1 November beginning at 6 PM at St. Luke Ministry Center (301 11th St. Columbus, GA 31901). Banquet tickets are $55.00 per person and may be purchased through the GMVHOF website by using PayPal or by sending a check to the address below.

Last November 18 Georgia Veterans were inducted into the GMVHOF Inaugural Class. The military branches and war eras represented were: Army - 9, Navy - 2, Air Force - 3, Marines - 4; Civil War - 1, WWII - 5, Korea - 2, Vietnam - 10. Those inducted were from these Georgia towns: Albany, Ashburn, Clarkesville, Columbus (2), Cornelia, Dahlonega, Decatur, Fitzgerald, Griffin (2), Macon, Monticello, Newnan (3), Savannah, and Tifton.
The primary objective of the Hall of Fame is to recognize some of the over 770,000 deserving Georgia Military Veterans who have contributed greatly to the well being of the United States of America while serving on Active Duty or in the Reserve Component. An additional objective is to allow this Hall of Fame to be a source of history lessons for students throughout Georgia.
The GMVHOF is a nonprofit, 501(c) (3) corporation (IRS ID Number: 46-2025738) with the sole purpose of honoring Georgia Military Veterans. In order to adequately fund this noble undertaking, donations of any amount are needed and gratefully accepted. Donations may be mailed to: Georgia Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame, PO Box 475, Pine Mountain, GA 31822. Donors can be assured that 100% of their donations will be used solely to honor these former service members.
