Norcross to Help Make a Special Wish Come True for Two Children with Cancer

Two children fighting cancer will receive a very special present -- courtesy of several local organizations.

Both children -- 6-year-old Brayden and 10-year-old Nolin -- met while in the hospital while both were being treated. And, both little boys had a wish to ride in exotic, cool cars.

So, Norcross-based Synergy Promotions and nonprofit From Thin Air are working together to make these children's wishes come true.

From Thin Air, a small nonprofit in Stone Mountain, works to bring second wishes to children who've already been helped through another wish-granting agency, but who are experiencing a relapse.

The special wish-granting event for Brayden and Nolin will take place July 6 at Thrasher Park, which the city of Norcross donated as the venue.

Full press release, sent via Norcross Police:

While in the hospital undergoing treatment for cancer, 6-year-old Brayden met 10-year-old Nolin and quickly became fast friends, bonding through the pains of fighting a disease for which they were diagnosed only three days apart.

Bill Ruck, magician and founder of “From Thin Air”, has dedicated his life to fulfilling the final wishes of children diagnosed with a terminal illness. Now he’s teamed up with Synergy Promotions, ARD Motorsports and Technica Motorsports to perform one of his best tricks ever.

An amateur magician, Bill will perform magic tricks for the boys between their rides in some rare and amazing cars!

Both motorsports companies and their drivers will become “cancer heroes”, and the guys who made the children’s dreams a reality!

The City of Norcross generously donated the venue, Thrasher Park (just off the square), providing a wonderful environment for children in their final days to witness a little magic.  Without the City of Norcross and their community outreach efforts none of this would be possible.
