Carnival Offers Fun for Kids of All Ages

You can get discount coupons to the Duluth Fall Festival Carnival for Thursday and Friday evenings.

If you're looking for something to do with your kids near Norcross, there's a carnival in Duluth this weekend.

The carnival has rides and a Midway filled with fun, games and food vendors. It opens Thursday evening, Sept. 27, and continues through Sunday, Sept. 30, as part of this year’s Duluth Fall Festival. Discount coupons offering two-for-one carnival $20 armbands for unlimited rides on Thursday and Friday evenings are available.

Carnival hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

This is the third year the festival has included a carnival offering fun for kids of all ages.

The 30th Anniversary Duluth Fall Festival occurs Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29 & 30, on the Duluth Town Green. In addition to the carnival, the festival includes a parade, arts and crafts booths, food vendors, live entertainment, and a 5K road race. About 400 booths fill the Town Green and overflow onto nearby streets.

A Man’s Corner offers exhibits and demonstrations of interest to men.

An attendance of 100,000 is expected. Festival hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

The parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday followed by opening ceremonies. Click here for a complete schedule of activities.

The 5K road race through downtown Duluth starts at 8 a.m. Sunday.

The festival is put on by nearly 400 volunteers, who will be recognizable at the festival in their cinnamon-colored 30th Anniversary Duluth Fall Festival T-shirts.
