It's Gonna Snow on Dec. 22 in Downtown Norcross

Christmas events at Farmhouse 17 will benefit Make-A-Wish Georgia.

It's going to snow three days before Christmas in downtown Norcross.

That's a fact. And, oh yeah, Santa and the reindeer will be there, too.

It's all part of a fundraising activities on Dec. 22 hosted by Farmhouse 17, located at 19 Holcomb Bridge Road, which will benefit Make-a-Wish Georgia.

From 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., Santa Claus and his reindeer will be on hand, as well hot chocolate, goodies and extra surprises.

Snow will be brought in, so it's a guarantee there'll be plenty of the frozen stuff in which to have some holiday fun.

Wishes to sit in Santa’s reindeer-drawn sleigh will be granted to several children with life-threatening medical conditions. Reservations for photos with Santa will be taken for a select number of children ($25 per framed photo; call 770-409-1717 to reserve a spot).

A large turnout is expected to meet Santa and his rarely seen reindeer, so the Norcross Police Department will be on hand to direct traffic.

In addition there will a silent auction with items donated by the shops, restaurants and other Norcross businesses. All net proceeds from the event will benefit Make-A-Wish Georgia, and Farmhouse 17 will be donating a percentage of all sales both in the store and online that day and the week prior to the event.

You also can make a tax-deductible donation to benefit Make-A-Wish at 770-409-1717 or online at www.farmhouse-17.com.

Later on Dec. 22, Farmhouse 17 hosts a Make-A-Wish Georgia wine and tapas open house 7 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Make a reservation here (click on Feast), or call 770-409-1717. Reservations are limited.
