Friday the 13th has PASSED...luckily we all survived!

It hasn't always been that way here in Norcross, in years past the creepy day brought ominous storm clouds, lightning strikes, and power outages.
When we launched the book 'Souls of Norcross' in 2010, on a Friday the 13th in August, our plans for a quiet evening were sharply interrupted!
A rouge storm popped up without any indications of local radar that a storm was brewing. It brought with it two lightning strikes, one next to Woods animal hospital and the other along Carlyle Street. One toppled a large hardwood tree which pulled down power lines causing an outage in the historic district...including the 45 South where we had set up for our launch!
The cafe flooded, and as we swept water out of the coffee house and lit candles, a steady trickle of interested readers dropped in to check out the little book. Since then sales soared, especially every October!
The book compliments the haunted historical tours that we host each season and from which we draw many stories!
This year however, we took no chances of fate and quietly hide behind our computers that notorious night of the thirteenth. We clutched our four leaf clovers, tucked a penny in each shoe, and dashed salt over our shoulders.
All these precautions must have helped as that dreary night brought n o gloom to town.
Now, with October just a turn of the page of your calendar dear readers, the Haunted History Tours prepare to scare again!
This year's tour will include some tales from 'out of town'...including a haunted hotel tale set on the Georgia seaside and another from Look out Mountain!
