Healthy living has as much to do with pursuing interests and learning new things, no matter how old you are, as it does with eating healthy and being active.
Life is so much more rewarding and fun when we find people and things that inspire us. You are never too old to try new things - whether it's learning a new skill, discovering a new hobby or making new friends!
Fowler Y offers a growing array of programs that are social as well as educational. On any given day at our Senior Center you may find groups playing Bridge, Canasta or Scrabble, ladies knitting, or people putting puzzles together.
There are monthly cooking demonstrations, guest speakers and you may even find a class or two on - digital photography, computer or pottery lessons.
The Y also offers a variety of senior fitness classes, from active senior aerobics, pickleball games to low-key chair-based exercise, senior yoga, walking clubs, water aerobics and strength training classes - there is something for every ability level at the Y.
At Fowler Y, seniors stay active, get involved, and gain a sense of belonging. Whether it’s joining a club, taking a class or participating in special events, we provide seniors with opportunities to meet people and try new activities.
If you are looking for something new and exciting to do this summer, come to the Y.
