Suniva Expanding in Norcross, Hiring Additional Staff

The company expects to hire about 50 new workers, who will work in the solar photovoltaic module assembly.

Norcross-based Suniva Inc. has announced that it will expand it operations, and that 48 new positions will open up. 

Specifically, company officials said that they will expand its solar photovoltaic module assembly operations here in Georgia. The main changes include turning the module assembly into a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week production, according to a company press release. 

"Demand for Suniva’s high-efficiency solar products has produced unprecedented sales bookings in Q1,” said Greg Mihalik, Suniva vice president of manufacturing and operations

He added: "And we are currently sold out of capacity for Q2. It’s exciting and extremely satisfying to know that our high-quality and high-power solar modules are so well-received by our customers and distributors."
