Girl Scout Bake Off

115 Girl Scouts from across Gwinnett County will compete on Saturday in the Gwinnett Bake off. These girls won first place in their troop bake off, then first place at the next level: their Service Unit bakeoff. Now they have progressed to the final competition: The Gwinnett County Girl Scout Bakeoff.

The entries are divided by grade levels. Girls chose from 3 recipes for their level and baked their entry without adult help. First place finishers are awarded trophies, 2nd and 3rd will take home ribbons. There will also be some great door prizes. Results will be announced at 1pm. This event has been a Gwinnett tradition for more than 20 years.

The YMCA has opened their doors for Girl Scouts and their parents to enjoy the YMCA that morning at no charge. There will be activities for the girls in the gym and adults may work out or take a class. Girls 16 and older may apply to work at camp this summer.
