In this blog, I am advising you to "read the small print" on any credit application or letter that you may receive. (Especially on the 0.0% deal). If you are approved and once you receive your card, immediately activate it. Once your card has been activated, if there is a "Balance Transfer" involved in your card transaction, or any other transaction re:your card...FOLLOW-UP with the Credit card company or Bank, or Credit Union to make absolutely, positively certain that everything is as requested!
Clark Howard(Consumer reporter and friend) calls it "Customer-NO SERVICE" and that is exactly what it can be called, if you don't FOLLOW-UP! I know for a fact, because it just happened to ME and I have advised Clark of "Who" the "culprit" is! These "Customer-NO SUPPORT" reps are being paid to "Talk you into" the offers and they will say ANYTHING to get your OK to process the applications! They have NO CLUE, people and they will agree with anything you say, at the time! Document, Document, everything!!!! NOTHING IS FOR FREE, remember that!
I even spoke with TWO different Managers and they were both very RUDE and didn't care that this would/could affect my credit! They don't care, that's a fact!
So, in closing, "Watch out for yourself", nobody else will!
