Sweep the Hooch 2014
Sweep the Hooch -- the largest river cleanup in Georgia -- is coming April 12, 2014!
Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, along with partners Upper Chattahoochee River Chapter of Trout Unlimited and the National Park Service, are hosting the multi-site cleanup for the fourth year.
Sweep the Hooch traverses 60 miles and includes 27 sites. Participants may choose a site for walkers, waders or paddlers. The event is free to the public.
Last year, more than 550 volunteers collected 3.7 tons of river refuse, with more than half a ton of trash recycled! We expect to eclipse those totals this year, making the 4th Annual Sweep the Hooch the biggest and best yet!
Be sure to register early! Slots do fill up, and once they are filled for a particular site, registration for that site will close.
