"Know Your Child"

As a leader and motivator for people with attention deficit disorders, Joan Teach, Ph.D., is committed to making a difference and changing lives.  Joan will be presenting "Know Your Child" on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 and Tuesday, November 4, 2013 from  6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at The Aurora School in Norcross, Georgia.  
"Know Your Child" is a dynamic workshop for parents and the professionals involved in their child's education.  It is a Must Do for any parent who has a child with an IEP.  "Know Your Child" will equip you with the tools you need to describe his/her strengths, identify his/her weaknesses, and determine how strategies will increase his success.    

Joan K. Teach, Ph.D.,  is the Director of the Community Resource Center in Atlanta, which provides families and adults with information and strategies necessary to manage the impact of ADHD/LD in their lives.  A seasoned special educator, her focus is matching approach with need. Dr. Teach is a contributor to the CHADD Educators Manual, and past national board member of both CHADD and LDA, she facilitates the workgroup: GOLD, Georgia's Opportunity for Learning Differences which joins CHADD-GA, LDA-GA and Kids Enabled, to provide informational workshops, conferences as well as Adult and Family support groups for our ADHD/LD population.   Currently she runs support groups for Adults, Women and Parents, writes a monthly blog for Teachers, and lectures internationally as both a learning specialist and game/simulator expert.
