According to the Blue Devils Run website, many students cannot afford the participation fee for cross country and track, so this 5K run and 1-mile fun run aims to support the running teams for Norcross High School. The run allows students to participate in these sports even if they do not have funds for it, and it also raises funds for competition fees, entry fees, travel expenses and uniforms.
Entry fee for the Blue Devils Run is $20 before Jan. 31, and $25 after and on race day. If someone would like to help the cause but cannot attend, that person could become a Phantom Runner for $20. Phantom runners will still receive a t-shirt.
Awards will be given to the 5K male and female runners for the Overall Winners, Overall Masters, and first, second and third places for each age division. All fun run participants will receive prizes.

The 5K will start at 8 a.m. and the 1-mile fun run wil start at 8:45 a.m. Registration, sign-in and packet pick-up will begin at 7 a.m. race day, which will take place at Pinckneyville Middle School.
