*Xan is not a typical 15-year old. Xan was born with Septo-Optic Dysplasia. Her Optic Nerves are short and thin, and she has low vision as a result but that isn’t what makes her atypical. Camp Helen Keller is a summer camp for visually impaired children. Xan has been going to Camp Helen Keller every summer since she was five years old, and loves every minute of camp life. What makes Xan atypical is that for her 15th birthday this year she doesn’t want presents for herself but wants to “Pay it Forward”. Xan wants her birthday this year to be a fundraiser to benefit Camp Helen Keller.s will also be accepted at the studio to go directly to Camp Helen Keller.
