Winter Weather Advisory Issued

Up to an inch possible in Norcross.

Another round of snow is expected in Norcross tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for snow across much of North and Central Georgia. The advisory will be in effect from 6 p.m. this evening until noon Thursday.

A weak low pressure system is expected to move across the Gulf of Mexico tonight with an associated fast moving upper level disturbance. A stationary cold air mass will allow snow accumulations throughout the advisory area.

A winter weather advisory means periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain may cause travel difficulties. Roads and bridges could become slick. Visibility could also be limited during periods of heavy snow. The National Weather Service advises motorists to use caution while driving.
