Voter Registration Deadline Today

In order to cast a vote on Nov. 8, you must register today.

A special election taking place on Nov. 8 holds signifcant for Norcross residents, inside and outside the city limits. And today is the last day to register to vote. 

Complete an online voting registration form here. (The form can also be found at public libraries, schools and other government offices, like the on Beaver Ruin Road.) After filling out the form, you will need to mail in the physical document, with a postmark of today, Oct. 11. 

Completing the county form also registers you for City of Norcross elections, though they are held in two different locations.

Registration for an asentee ballot begins on Oct. 17 and may be emailed.

There will be two items on the city ballot. One is a race for an open City Council seat between incumbent Craig Newton and challenger Greg McFarland. Mayor Bucky Johnson and Councilmember Charlie Riehm are running again unchallenged. 

The other item is to authorize the Sunday sales of beer and wine in the City of Norcross. 

Those homeowners living in an area adjcent to the City of Norcross leading up to I-85 will also be voting on an annexation measure to bring them into the city limits.
