Vietnamese Community Rings in the New Year

The annual Tet celebration was a colorful display of culture last weekend.

The local Vietnamese community came out in droves for the annual Tet celebration, held at 6100 Live Oak Pkwy on Saturday and Sunday in Norcross.

The celebration of the New Year includes the colorful "Lion Dance," performed by children in a local martial arts school, Quang Trung Martial Arts Institute.

Kids played with light-up toys and teenagers posed for pictures in beautiful traditional silk Vietnamese dress. Talent was on display as well, from pop crooners to young flutists.
