Tell Us Your Volunteer Efforts for MLK Day

January 21, 2013 marks the national Martin Luther King Jr holiday. What will you be doing to commemorate it?

The national Martin Luther King Jr. holiday soon will be upon us, and Patch wants to highlight the work you plan to do in the community.

The official date is Monday, Jan. 21, and normally, citizens use this time as a day of service.

With most workers being off that day, it does leave time open to volunteer -- in your neighborhood, at your church, a local shelter or other places.

If you or your group will be volunteering in the Peachtree Corners area, please let Patch know by submitting events or announcements on our Patch site.

And, on the day of service, be sure to send us photographs of all your hard work! Just upload them to the Pics & Clips gallery, and we will feature them.
