Gwinnett Police Kickstarts Child Safety Program

The Gwinnett County Police Department is holding a special program that promises to help empower your children to be safe. 

The radKIDS program will take place July 8-12 at various times (see below). Registration is required, and it is limited to the first 20 children in each of two age groups: children 5 to 7 years old, and 8 to 12 years old.

The program is free, and educates parents and their children about how to protect themselves in dangerous situations and places. The children will learn, among other things, the four essential radKIDS rules:

1. No one has the right to hurt me because I am special!
2. I don't have the right to hurt anyone else unless they try to hurt me and then I stop them!
3. If anyone tries to hurt me, trick me, or make me feel bad inside, it's not my fault -- So I can tell!

Children and their parents are required to attend all of the daily sessions July 5-8. The program is conducted at four times on each of those days: 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The program takes place at Sugar Hill Church, 5091 Nelson Brogdon Boulevard in Sugar Hill.
