Gwinnett Animal Shelter Offering $30 Adoptions

The shelter also is having a pet photo day with Santa.

The Gwinnett County Animal Shelter is offering a few specials this holiday season on adoptions and Santa pet photos.

Now through Dec. 23, bring home an adopted animal for only $30, which covers fees for the spay/neuter, vaccinations and a microchip.

"Our goal is for each animal in the shelter to be adopted by December 25," according to a news release from the Gwinnett County Police Department.

The shelter also is encouraging families to come out with their pets to take photos with Santa and enjoy some cookies and hot chocolate, too.

With proceeds benefiting the shelter, the photo sessions will take place Thursday, Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and photo prices range from $5 to $10. Call the shelter to schedule an appointment.
