The coldest air of the season descended on North Georgia Wednesday night, prompting the National Weather Service in Peachtree City to issue a Frost Advisory for the overnight hours in Central and North Georgia.
The advisory area includes Gwinnett County.
According to the NWS forecast, frost conditions could occur between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m., with the low expected to be 34 to 36 degrees.
"A Frost Advisory means that frost is expected. Sensitive outdoor may be killed if left uncovered," the weather service says on its website.
The low temperature is expected to be mid-30s again Thursday night, according to the Weather Channel.
