The TV pilot for "Resurrection," formerly known as "The Returned," has been picked up by ABC and will continue filming in Norcross.

Back in March, film crews set up and shot the first episode of the supernatural drama over the course of a week at the Pafford home, also known as the Garner home, at 566 N. Peachtree St.

According to Key Assistant Location Manager Angie Dean Morrison, "Resurrection" has been signed on for seven more episodes. Filming for the new series will start up again July 22, but set locations are split between the home in Norcross, McDonough and the Screen Gems at Lakewood.

Morrison said the specific shooting days in Norcross haven't been confirmed yet, but it probably won't be consecutive days. Filming in town would more than likely be spaced out between one or two days per month.

Crews aim to wrap up filming in October.

"Resurrection" is about a child who went missing 30 years ago and landed in a small village in China, according to the Norcross permit application for the shooting back in March. "He is 'returned' to his small mid-America town having not aged at all," continues the description.

According to Indiewire, "Resurrection" is one of Paul Lee's, the president of ABC Entertainment, favorite pilots. Omar Epps, who's been in "House M.D.," "ER" and "Scream 2" will star in the series. Kurtwood Smith of "That 70's Show" and Samaire Armstrong of "The O.C." also will co-star. Click here for a list of the full cast and crew.

"Resurrection" is based on the novel "The Returned" by Jason Mott and penned by Aaron Zelman of "Criminal Minds." Brad Pitt's Plan B has been listed as part of the executive production team, Indiewire continues.
