Workshop: Learn to Yarn Bomb, Crochet and Knit

Head to Norcross this Saturday for a workshop to gear up for the town's upcoming yarn bombing event.

Saturday, March 9, 2013β€”Yarn Bombing Workshop, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at the home of Laura Rogers, 53 Born Street, Norcross, 30071

Coming out of the contemporary craft movements, yarn bombing is a fun, bright and colorful way to celebrate public space. Unlike graffiti, yarn bombing can be done without any damage and is temporary, easily removable and we recycle all of the yarn. Join us Saturday, March 9 from 11-2 at Laura's home for a free yarn bombing workshop. If you've never done this before, that's okay, we'll show you how! We'll have various tools of the trade to show and a project you can make to yarn bomb yourself!

Directions to 53 Born Street, Norcross, 30071 (traveling from Thrasher Park, cross the railroad tracks and turn left on Wingo Street (Paizanos is on the corner), about 1/3 mile up Wingo Street you see Laura's home, a big light green Victorian home circa 1884. You may park behind the house, along Born Street, or at Norcross Elementary School, which is next-door.
