The Norcross Yarn Bombers Bring a Unique Brand of Whimsy and Smiles to Norcross

Coming out of the contemporary craft movements, yarn bombing is a fun, bright and colorful way to celebrate public space. Yarn bombing is temporary, easily removable and we recycle all of the yarn.

Norcross Yarn Bombers, a growing group of fiber artists of all ages and skill levels, are busy creating surprises that will sprout up alongside flower beds and lampposts, in all sorts of unlikely places in historic Norcross this June. Yarn Bombing Norcross is a community-led arts project that brings the many diverse communities of Gwinnett County together to create a whimsical fiber arts installation in historic Norcross this June! That means we need your help make it happen! Join us at Rare Purls this Saturday, April 20 from 11–1:30 for a free workshop to learn about yarn bombing, meet other bombers, and to add your own creative touches to the project! Rare Purls Yarn Boutique is located at 3579 West Lawrenceville Street on the square in Duluth. We hope to see you there! Visit us on Facebook at facebook.com/NorcrossYarnBomb Sponsored by Norcross Arts Alliance, the City of Norcross, and Rare Purls Yarn Boutique
