ATLANTA (June 30, 2014) - The Center for Working Families, Inc. (TCWFI) announces four appointments to its Board of Directors. Joining the Board of Directors are Agnes Casimir, Chief Financial Officer at Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership; Monte Fowler, Chief Operating Officer at 2Clarity; Kaye Morgan-Curtis, Manager, Global Inclusion and Philanthropy at Newell Rubbermaid; and Wesley Tharpe, Policy Analyst at Georgia Budget & Policy Institute.

 

The three-year appointments are effective July 1, 2014. The new members each bring significant experience in key growth areas for the organization, including finance, operations, public policy and resource development.

 

"These appointments reflect the Center's continued commitment to finding the very best community leaders to lead and guide TCWFI," said Natallie Keiser, Interim Executive Director of TCWFI. "Their knowledge, skills, and expertise will be invaluable as we implement our new 3 year strategic planning process, and continue the work of helping families achieve economic stability."

 

Agnes Casimir is a certified public accountant and brings 28 years of experience from both the for-profit and non-profit sector. Ms. Casimir currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership and is responsible for the overall financial management including budget planning, treasury functions, tax, audit and financial reporting. Ms. Casimir also serves as chairperson of the Finance Council at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and is a member of the Tax Exempt Association of Georgia.

 

Monte Fowler is an accomplished global technology and operations executive with more than 14 years of experience creating value for shareholders and optimizing customer experiences. In his current position as COO for 2Clarity, Monte is responsible for developing and implementing plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate rapid growth objectives. He is fully responsible for providing overall team leadership and vision. Monte is also the Fundraising Committee Chair and Board Member YMCA (Andrew and Walter Young Family), and a member of the Beecher Hills International Baccalaureate Elementary School Local School Council.

 

Kaye Morgan-Curtis is responsible for the integration of standard diversity, inclusion, and philanthropic practices in Newell Rubbermaid's daily business rhythm worldwide. Kaye manages strategic investments in the local and global community through corporate contributions and employee volunteerism, while developing and executing strategies to attract and engage a diverse and culturally-aligned employee base across the globe.  Ms. Morgan-Curtis is currently the Co-Chair of Program Development for the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta, and also serves on other national and local boards and committees.

 

Wesley Tharpe works in the community to promote positive social change through policy research, public education and advocacy.  As Policy Analyst with the Georgia Budget & Policy Institute (GBPI), Wesley leads organizational research and analysis of tax and economic development policy, with emphasis on improving lives for Georgia's working families. He authors numerous reports and op-eds each year and works with lawmakers, advocates and citizens to push for progressive solutions to Georgia's challenges.

 

Chairman of the Board of Directors' Charles Ross salutes the new members' commitment to TCWFI's mission. "We are excited about our strengthened leadership in these exciting appointments and look forward to working together to help ensure families are advancing towards economic self-sufficiency."
