Growing Leaders Named Recipient of Atlanta Braves Foundation Grant

Atlanta (Nov. 6, 2013) – Growing Leaders has been named one of 31 non-profit organizations to receive funds and recognition through the Atlanta Braves Foundation grant program. The Foundation awards grants annually to youth-serving organizations that focus on health, education, and recreation; and whose plans for the requested funds will have a significant impact upon the individuals served by the requesting organization.

“We are honored to be a recipient of this grant alongside the many other organizations doing great work for our community and state,” Tim Elmore, founder and president of Growing Leaders shares of the award. “It’s a privilege to align ourselves with the Atlanta Braves Foundation and receive funds that will help us continue in our mission of equipping young people—and their teachers, coaches and parents—with the tools they need to become leaders with the capability make a positive influence on others and society.”

Through Braves Give, the team’s community outreach platform, the Atlanta Braves Foundation awarded more than $300,000 to local non-profit organizations in 2013. Further details and other recipients of the 2013 Foundation grants can be found, here.
