Readers' Choice Winner: Bruster's

This week's Readers' Choice was Best Ice Cream, and the votes have been casted.

While it's a nationwide chain, Bruster's is an old-fashioned ice cream shop that also offers sundaes, smoothies, frozen yogurt, sherbert, ice cream cake and more. Its outdoor seating is oftentimes a spot to see families and teenagers relaxing while devouring their frozen treats before they melt.

At the particular 1590 Indian Trail Rd. location, every Thursday is banana day, where customers can get 50 percent off a banana split if they bring their own bananas.

Also available starting this month is the return of Bruster's Peach and Black Raspberry flavors and Strawberry Shortcakes.

The Indian Trail frozen eatery lead this week's poll with 57 percent of the vote. The other came in second with 35 percent of the vote and had 1 percent of the vote.
