Norcross Creamery Issues Cheese Recall

AtlantaFresh Artisan Creamery issued the recall on mozzarella sold last week at several area farmer's markets.

Norcross-based AtlantaFresh Artisan Creamery issued a recall on mozzarella sold last week at several farmer’s markets. The cheese packages read “best by date 7/16.” The Whistle Stop Market was not singled out by the company.

The Creamery said cheese was sold at Sandy Springs Market, Alpharetta Farmers Market, Marietta Square, Peachtree Road Farmers Market and Piedmont Park farmers market. They also added the East Atlanta Village market to the list of recalled cheeses later yesterday.

A second post by the Creamery said, “With 1 degree of pasteurization off, we feel fairly certain it is all good, but to be safe, please bring your cheese back to any farmers market this week for a refund or trade for a new cheese and a yogurt on the house for your trouble.”
