News Report: Narconon of Georgia Surrenders License to the State

Individuals, however, may still be held liable.

A Norcross-area drug treatment facility under suspicion of fraud has surrendered its operating license to avoid potential criminal charges, according to an AJC news report.

However, Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter told the AJC that the investigation into allegations of insurance fraud isn't over.

"Narconon as a corporate entity has been relieved of criminal liability but no individual is," Porter was quoted as saying. "Certainly we’ve discovered discrepancies between what was billed and what was provided."

Earlier this month, Patch reported that at least two insurance companies were suing Narconon of Georgia. Click here for that coverage.
