The gun range located on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Medlock Bridge Road has been purchased recently and the new owners are hard at work transforming the new facility which has been renamed Norcross Gun Club and Range.
The range is currently closed for renovations. Ron Brown, one of business partners in the venture, said they expect to have the facility open by early May.
The club is being completely remodeled inside and out explained Cara Workman, a partner and one of the club's founders. "We're renovating the interior, adding new display cases, new countertops and new flooring to bring it up to today's standards," she said.
A major change will be relocating the front door which is currently located on the end of the rectangle shaped building and moving the entryway to the side of the building that faces Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. The new entry will be a double-doors that lead into the proshop and lobby area.
Seeing a high demand for their services, the owners of , located on Roswell Road, chose the location to expand their current business. The group is spending more than $700,000 to update and upgrade the 7,000 square-foot facility, said Brown.
Club founders Workman and her sister Robyn Marzullo, said the new venue is designed to not only provide a facility for hobbyists and hunters, but also a place where those interested in self-protection could take up the sport of shooting and learn proper gun-handling in a safe environment.
The 12-lane gun club will offer individual, family and corporate memberships. it will also will honor existing memberships held by American Classic members.
