Use Facebook App to Make Dinner Reservations

A new feature is available -- only on mobile, for now.

Now, dinner reservations in Norcross and elsewhere are just a couple of "thumb clicks" away.

As noted on Mashable.com, Facebook is now allowing its users to make reservations at some nearby eateries through its mobile app.

Users must have the most updated version of the Facebook mobile app, and can access participating restaurants through the "nearby places" feature.

The feature is part of a new integration with OpenTable, which allows users to make online reservations at about 20,000 U.S. dining establishments. A Facebook spokesperson said the company plans to gauge use and performance before making it available to other platforms, such as desktop.

In Norcross, Paizanos Restaurant is among the eateries at which Facebook users can make mobile reservations (see the attached screenshot).
