License for Peachtree Corners Treatment Center in Jeopardy

The State of Georgia Department of Community Health has completed as many as 11 probes since 2002 at a Peachtree Corners area drug and alcohol treatment center.
According to a report in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, Narconon of Georgia has been notified by the State Department of Community Health that the clinic's license is in jeopardy.

The possiblity of a license revocation follows the Department of Community Health's investigation of the facility which revealed court records from a Dekalb County lawsuit with sworn statements confirming that the facility was knowingly operating as a residential program when licensed only for outpatient services.
Representatives from the company indicate that Narconon of Georgia disagree with the findings and will oppose sanctions against it.
