Kroger Issues Ice Cream Recall

A type of Private Selection may contain peanuts not listed on the label.

The Kroger Co. said Thursday that it is recalling select containers of Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks Ice Cream sold in 10 states, including Georgia, because it may contain peanuts not listed on the label, according to a company news release.

People who are allergic to peanuts could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product, the company said. For consumers who are not allergic to peanuts, there is no safety issue.

The product has been removed from Kroger shelves.
