Gwinnett Village CID Elects New Boardmember

The Gwinnett Village CID selected a new boardmember at its September meeting Thursday morning.

Kacey Morris, senior property manager for Prologis, will serve on the board of directors for the community improvement district that covers parts of the city of Norcross, the city of Peachtree Corners and Gwinnett County. Morris replaced former board member Jeff Lucas.

“I have been very impressed with the work Gwinnett Village has accomplished and I am excited to lend my continued support to the CID,” said Morris in a press release. "In the current real estate market it is especially important to have a local partner advocating for improvements that help to protect and enhance our investments."

Prologis is one of the largest industrial property owners in the world, offering approximately 569 million square-feet of distribution space in 21 countries. As of June 30, 2012 Prologis managed $43.9 billion in total assets.

"We are very excited to have Kacey onboard," said Chuck Warbington, executive director for Gwinnett Village CID. "Her extensive knowledge and experience in the industrial real estate sector will provide us with much needed insight into what those end users need in order to thrive in our community."

Community Improvement Districts are made up of commercial property owners who tax themselves in order to fund infrastructure, aesthetic and public safety projects in their community. At 14 square miles, the Gwinnett Village CID is the largest in Georgia. The CID represents 550 commercial properties valued at over $1 billion.
