New Safety Features, Landscaping Enhance Indian Trail Road Corridor

If you've recently driven on Indian Trail Road between I-85 and Brook Hollow Parkway, you're undoubtedly noticed the improvements made along this busy Norcross road.

Landscaped medians in the corridor and new mast arms at the intersection of Brook Hollow and Indian Trail have improved the appearance of the roadway. But important safety features were also added to the busy Indian Trail and I-85 interchange.

Several safety enhancements were part of the project said Joel Wascher, Communications Director for the Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District (CID).

The project details included:

  • Replacing the center turn lane with a landscaped raised median
  • Adding a left turn lane from Indian Trail to I-85 northbound and turn lanes at Indian Trail and Brook Hollow
  • Replacing signals at Indian Trail and Brook Hollow with decorative mast arms
