Flying Biscuit Plans to Reopen This Week

After back-to-back failing health inspections this month, Flying Biscuit looks to re-open its Gwinnett County restaurant.

It's been a tough week for Brad Rubenstein, the owner and operator of Flying Biscuit Cafe.

The popular eatery, located on Peachtree Parkway in the Norcross and Peachtree Corners area, had failing back-to-back health inspections -- first on Sept. 5 and then again on Sept. 12 -- and temporarily closed its doors on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.

But, Rubenstein says he'll be back in business later this week.

On Sept. 13, Rubenstein told Patch that the health department "allowed us to stay open but we will shut down for four to six days for repairs on equipment and retraining of staff," he said.

"We care about the community and want to do what is the right thing so we are temporarily shutting down," he added.
