The shop next to in Historic Norcross will soon be renovated, clearing the way for a new tenant to potentially bring a business into downtown.
The empty shop is at 87 S. Peachtree St. Architectural plans have been submitted to the city, according to Community Development Director Chris McCrary.
The construction schedule calls for work to begin in about three to four weeks, said McCrary. The interior will be built out to a “white box," meaning that it will be a finished interior that is ready for restaurant, retail or other types of uses.
The building had structural damage, including issues with the ceiling, that will be addressed in the renovation.
The shop, which has been for sale or lease for over a year, is owned by the Greer family. Real estate agent George Hokayem is listed as the contact for any interested parties. His phone number is 770-540-1668.
