Downtown Norcross Boutique to Open Friday

Dress Up Boutique will have a soft opening at 10 a.m. Feb. 15.

Valentine's week just got sweeter: Dress Up Boutique, Historic Downtown Norcross' newest business, will officially open its doors Friday, Feb. 15, the shop announced this week.

The clothing and accessories store, which currently has five shops in Dahlonega, Gainesville, Suwanee, Woodstock and Alpharetta, will be moving into the Greer space at 81 South Peachtree St.

“We are excited to bring our store to another affluent, up-and-coming, historic downtown area, as the majority of our current stores are in similar communities,” said Dress Up CEO Derrick Case in a news release. “We pride ourselves in truly becoming a part of the local communities in which we have our store locations.”

Its Norcross debut will be a soft opening since the Georgia chain also is planning to open another shop in Brookhaven. While a grand opening won't be happening immediately, customers still will be able to treat themselves to 20 percent off everything in the store Friday, said Hillary Harper, director of marketing and public relations for Dress Up.

The new downtown boutique will carry more than 60 styles every week with only two to three quantities per style, so that the same items aren't in stock for long, according to Harper. Dress Up's inventory is filled with trendy and affordable accessories, jewelry, flats, pumps and clothing.
