Bleu House Cafe, Farmhouse 17 Team up for Farm-to-Table Supper

Bleu House's Maureen and Nicole Adams are making different dishes with locally grown farm fresh eggs and pecans for Farmhouse's Moveable Feast in downtown Norcross.

Downtown Norcross' newest shop, Farmhouse 17, is hosting a farm-to-table supper this month that will feature local restaurant Bleu House Cafe.

The supper, known as the homegoods store's Moveable Feast, is a monthly four- or five-course meal that incorporates farms and foods grown nearby. The dinners are served around a community table of acquaintances.

For the May 18th dinner, Bleu House's co-owners Maureen and Nicole Adams will be incorporating locally grown farm fresh eggs and pecans from Georgia's Phoenix Gardens and Pearson Pecan Farm

The Southern Pecan Supper has the following menu: an assorted cheese and fruit appetizer selection; a pecan, bleu cheese, apple and cherry salad; a sweet potato and pecan tartlet; a maple bourbon pork loin with toasted pecan relish over wilted bok choy; and a pecan flan with fresh whipped cream.

The May dinner with Bleu House will include a sampling of pecans for each guest to take home. The cost is $75, and it will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Farmhouse 17, located at 138 Holcomb Bridge Rd. All proceeds will benefit Norcross Meals on Wheels.

Since it's April opening, Farmhouse 17 had its first Moveable Feast last month where it highlighted Washington Strawberry Farm in Watkinsville. Chef Michael Robins used the locally grown strawberries to create the dishes for the table of eight, and guests were able to bring home a sampling of the strawberries.
