Back-to-School Supply Drives Assist Norcross Students in Big Way

Beaver Ridge Elementary, Summerour Middle and Meadowcreek High among those helped.

Several schools in the Norcross area were the recipients of much-needed school supplies to begin the new year thanks to local nonprofits and other businesses.

Here's a recap of efforts that helped Norcross students:

Beaver Ridge Elementary received school supplies collected by Georgia United Credit Union members.

Stationers of Suwanee and Variety - The Children’s Charity of Georgia donated backpacks to seven Gwinnett County schools, including Rockbridge Elementary School and Meadowcreek High School.

"It is so important that the year start off in a positive way,” said Chase Evangeline Andrews, of Variety-The Children’s Charity of Georgia, in a press release. "It was a pleasure for our group to partner with Gwinnett County Public Schools."

The Norcross Cluster Schools Partnership, a fund of the GCPS Foundation, collected more than 10,000 school supply items for its annual Stuff the Bus Campaign.

The effort benefited: Beaver Ridge Elementary, Norcross Elementary, Peachtree Elementary, Simpson Elementary, Pinckneyville Middle, and Summerour Middle.
