Reserve Those Summer Concert Tables Starting Friday

Table reservations for Norcross' Summer Concert Series begin March 1.

It may be winter still, but warm weather will be here before you know it, and everyone in the city knows what that means: the Norcross Summer Concert Series.

Guests are allowed to bring lawn chairs, blankets, food and drinks while listening and dancing to the music on Friday nights in Thrasher Park, but there's also the option of having your very own table located at the front of the stage and provided by the city.

Table rentals often sell out fast, so the city of Norcross is accepting "reservation requests" in order to be as fair as possible. The request does not guarantee a table, according to the city website, but it is a first-come, first-serve approach where everyone's name automatically goes on a list.

Instructions on requesting a table will be available via aplacetoimagine.com at 9 a.m. March 1.

The city of Norcross notes that any request made before that time will not be honored.

Patrons will have the opportunity to reserve a table at any one concert or the entire season. Click here to see the 2013 Summer Concert Series schedule, which kicks off May 24 and has eight shows.

Here's a breakdown of the pricing list:

Six-seater table: $60 per concert, $480 for the 2013 season

Eight-seater table: $70 per concert, $560 for the 2013 season

Those who put in requests will be notified within three business days. If your reservation was made before all the tables were sold out, you will be asked for payment at that time, according to the city website. If all tables were sold out by the time your reservation request was received, your name will be put on a waiting list. If a table becomes available, the Norcross Parks & Recreation Department will notify you.
