Racy Comedy 'Sister Sex' Opens at Lionheart

A sexy, slapstick and serious play makes its world premiere tonight.

The sexy, slapstick and sometimes serious play "Sister Sex" is opening at on Friday. The play, by Pat McGreever, won Lionheart’s 2011 Make the Lion Roar playwriting contest and makes its world premiere on Lionheart's stage.

"Sister Sex" is the tale of a sex therapist who is assisted by a 6-foot, 300-pound Irish nun who gives nightmares to their cavalcade of fascinating clients until the archbishop finds out what’s going on.

“It is a racy and very funny show, but I don't think it is irreverent,” said director Jason Caldwell. “Any language or suggestion is done in a way that is integral to the story and not gratuitous.”

"Sister Sex" runs May 4 through May 20, with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday’s show at 2 p.m. It is for adult audiences only. Admission is $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. Group rate is $10. Complimentary dessert is served at intermission. Reservations are highly recommended.
