Norcross Weekend Planner: Summer Concert Series, Lionheart Theatre and More

Check out what's going on this weekend (June 7-9).

The summers in Norcross just never calm down. There's always something to do!

On Friday, the city's Summer Concert Series is back for its second show of the season with 7 Bridges, an Eagles tribute band. Grab a picnic basket, drinks (sans glass), a blanket and some chairs for a lively evening. The music starts in Thrasher Park at 7:30 p.m. and lasts until 9:30 p.m.

It's the last weekend at Lionheart Theatre for Onion Man Production's "Summer Harvest 2013 - Keep it Legal! As a collection of a 10-minute plays by local playwrights "who have fun bending the rules," the performances run now through Sunday, with Friday and Saturday's performances at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday's at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 to $16. Downtown Norcross' newest shop, Farmhouse 17, is having its grand opening Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Be sure to check out the live demos on homegoods, free food samples and giveaways at the  138 Holcomb Bridge store.

If you're looking for more excitement, hop on over to the third annual Peachtree Corners Festival in the next city over. More than 10,000 area residents are expected to attend this fun-filled event Saturday and Sunday on The Corners Parkway. Festival goers can expect live music, vendors, a 5K and fun run, a car and bike show, and more. Click here for more details.
