Norcross Weekend Planner: Sparkle, Santa and More

Are you ready for some holiday fun?

The first official weekend of December is coming, and with it is a bounty of Christmas celebrations and more.

Greater Atlanta Christian School is heating up its theatre stage with its debut of "Annie" this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5, and the play will be performed everyday until Sunday. Check here for more details.

The production isn't the only thing the school will be busy with this weekend. Norcross High may be having an away game for the third round of football playoffs this weekend, but GAC will be playing at the Spartan stadium against Early County. Tickets are $12 and the game starts at 7:30 p.m.

Friday also kicks off the annual Sparkle holiday celebration in Historic Downtown Norcross. Get ready for the tradition of the tree lighting, photo ops with Santa, hot choclate, cookies, and Christmas classics shown on the outdoor movie screen. Don't forget to bring a can of non-perishable food for the Norcross Cooperative Ministry. The festivitivities start at 5:45 p.m. in Norcross' Thrasher Park.

Sparkle doesn't just last one night, though; it's for the entire month of December! This Saturday is a free craft ornament day for the kids in front of Vargas and Harbin Studio Gallery. The crafting starts at 11:30 a.m. and runs trough 2:30 p.m.
