'Norcross (Then and Now)' Book Launch Saturday
Authors Kate Awtrey and Sally Toole will host a launch party at 45 South Cafe.
Celebrate the latest novel on the city, during its launch party this Saturday at .
Having debuted in late July, "Norcross (Then and Now)" is a pictorial depiction that shows how different places in the Gwinnett town have progressed over the years. The Norcross book, which is part of Arcadia Publishing's "Then and Now" series, matches more than 200 vintage photos with modern ones.
and , who also are Patch contributors, co-authored the novel by finding the old photos, shooting the new images, and compiling everything together. Toole is a Norcross historian and has written two other novels on Norcross, and Awtrey is a photographer who has worked with multiple metro-Atlanta publications, in addition to Patch.

The "Norcross (Then and Now)" book launch party will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at downtown Norcross' 45 South Cafe at 45 South Peachtree Street.
