How would you describe your art to a complete stranger? My sculptures are made of copper which is cut, hammered, assembled, and welded together with much care. I also put patinas and polychrome (paint) on some parts.

How long have you been producing art? I have been doing art all my life and full time since 1970.

How did you first get started in art? I got started by making my own toys as a child while in France and also drawing. I started winning awards from the first grade on.

Who are your art heroes? I really don't have any heroes except my grandmother, but I admire Cezanne, Picasso, Degas and others.

What inspires you? What inspires me is my customers who order custom sculptures that are important to them and the fact that the piece gets a good home.

What is your favorite piece in your own collection? Why? I can't think of a favorite piece. It's usually the one I'm working on at the time. You know what they say--an artist can't keep his best work if his purpose is to make his customers happy. Anyway, as long as it gets a good home, I'm happy.

Where do you live? I live in Coconut Grove, Fla., which is in Miami.

Are you a full-time artist, or do you have another occupation? I have been a full-time artist since 1970.

How many times has your art been featured in the Norcross Art Fest? This will be my third time participating in the Norcross Show.
