Who are your art heroes?

My hero is my husband who has always supported my artistic madness! He loves to encourage me and helps inspire me in all I choose to do. He has put up with the mess my painting often creates! My favorite artist who inspires me is Bettye Anglin Smith from Charleston. After seeing her works, I have gone larger and bolder!

What inspires you?

Everyone's art work I see. I love to go to festivals to see other artist's work. I always buy original artwork when I see pieces I love.

What is your favorite piece in your own collection? Why?

A large abstract in my kitchen done by a local artist in Birmingham. It is large, beautiful and perfect for my home.

Where do you live?

Vestavia Hills, Ala. (A suburb of Birmingham.)

Are you a full-time artist, or do you have another occupation?

I am a registered nurse in pediatric cardiology at university hospital in Birmingham. I have always worked part time and painted part time.

How many times has your art been featured in the Norcross Arts Fest?
