Lionheart’s 'Second Samuel' Opens Friday

The comedy-drama will run at the Norcross theatre company from March 8 through March 24.

It was a simpler time in the late 1940s, especially in South Georgia’s sleepy little town called Second Samuel. In the summer Miss Gertrude passed away, deep dark town secrets were about to be revealed. Nobody could have imagined how the death of one sweet little old lady would turn the entire town upside down, leaving everybody in Second Samuel wondering if anything would ever be normal again.

"Second Samuel," a warm comedy-drama by Southern playwright Pamela Parker, opens at Lionheart Theatre Co. this Friday, March 8 and runs weekends through March 24. Amy Szymanski is making her directorial debut.

Another classic Southern Play, "To Kill a Mockingbird," directed by Joanie McElroy, opens April 26 and runs through May 12.
