Looking for a way to spice up your Valentine's Day?
Then come to Lionheart Theatre in downtown Norcross from Feb. 14-17 for an evening or matinee of "Heart Throbs," a collection of nine 10-minute plays all centered on relationships.
Flying Cat Productions will be bringing this collection of short scenes to Lionheart after a run at the Academy Theatre in Avondale Estates. Flying Cat put out a call nationwide for short plays focused on relationships and the joys and troubles that they cause.
Out of 86 entries, Flying Cat chose these nine productions and enlisted the talents of nine directors and 18 actors. The productions themselves are as varied as real relationships from down-to-earth scenes to fantastical trips through time, or a uterus. Tickets are $10 and include a dessert and beverage.
Before the show take a look inside the Norcross Arts Center, Located right next door to Lionheart, which has on exhibit, "Wilson Pickett: a pictorial overview of the career of the famous R&B legend. The exhibit includes original programs, clothing, posters, scores, photos, recordings, awards, video footage and gold records. The exhibit is free and will be open at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday just for our Lionheart audiences to enjoy.
