From Duluth Patch
The Gwinnett Ballet Theatre has added two new ballet classes and an exciting workshop for wannabe Rockettes to the offerings in its new studios at 1800 Macleod Drive in Lawrenceville. The new location is near the Gwinnett Center in Duluth where the GBT performs.
Teen and adult ballet will now be offered, according to a press release. Teen classes will be taught on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6 p.m, while adult ballet will be offered on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The instructor will be Elizabeth Galloway. No specific attire is required for these classes except to wear ballet slippers and have hair secured. Tuition is $100 a month.
Former Rockette Autumn Morgenstern will lead a workshop for adult women Friday, Nov. 9, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on techniques of the world famous precision dance team including their signature eye-high kick. Class participants will be taught a choreographed routine to perform.
The workshop is suitable for amateurs and trained dancers. Dance attire, dance heels or jazz shoes are recommended. This workshop costs $20.
