Enter the Patch Spring Fling Photo Contest!

Share your favorite images of springtime and you could win two tickets to the High Museum. And bragging rights!

Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and the pollen counts have been rising.

Spring is definitely upon us!

To kick off the season, Patch is running a Spring Fling Photo Contest to showcase the images that you, our readers, think best depict springtime in your community.

The winner will receive two tickets to the High Museum, complete with two audio guided tours, and a few nice Patch branded items. Of course, there’s also that warm, happy feeling that comes from winning!

Entering this contest is as easy as sharing photos on Facebook. (Yes, we know that Facebook is your second favorite website after Patch.)

To enter, all you need to do is to upload a photo to this story. Below this article, you’ll find a camera icon, and you can click on that to get started. If you need more detailed instructions, follow this link or watch the video that we’ve included with this article.

Please use the title and caption fields to tell us a little about your photo, where it was taken and why you think it captures the spirit of spring. Don’t worry, you don’t have to write a lot!

Please submit photos shot in 2012, and only share photos that you yourself took. If you want to study the legal mumbo jumbo, you’ll find that in a document attached to this article. But it basically boils down to this – keep it clean, and don’t present somebody else’s photo as your own.

And stay tuned, because you, dear reader, will get a chance to vote on the winner!

Photos can be submitted until noon March 14. Public judging will start March 15.

So pull out your camera or your smartphone and let’s see what you can do!
